IT Manager – Manufacturing Data & Technology

About the role

We are seeking an IT Manager to lead the digital transformation of a growing manufacturing business in Rubery, Birmingham. The role combines data analysis, reporting and hands‑on IT support to improve production performance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated management reports for production and quality data.
• Analyse manufacturing data to identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Support integration of manufacturing equipment with business systems, including ERP, warehouse and shop‑floor technologies.
• Coordinate with the outsourced IT provider to deliver system upgrades, deployments and project work.
• Assist with ERP, warehouse and shop‑floor technology projects, ensuring smooth implementation.
• Provide general IT support and troubleshoot issues across the site.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and help embed AI and automation solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating impactful Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on manufacturing data.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to collaborate with production, quality and management teams.
• Interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies.
