Joinery Production Technician – Birmingham

About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Joinery Production Technician to join our Birmingham facility. You will translate technical drawings into precise manufacturing instructions, supporting a high‑quality, right‑first‑time production process for timber and veneered boards.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical and manufacturing drawings.
- Mark out timber and veneered boards to exact specifications.
- Check cutting sheets against drawings and flag discrepancies before production.
- Prepare materials for CNC machining and joinery mill operations.
- Book and record timber and veneer supplies, maintaining accurate logs.
- Issue materials, drawings and documentation to bench joiners.
- Maintain drawing revision control and ensure use of current versions.
- Liaise with Setting Out, Joinery Mill, Metal Shop and other internal teams.
- Resolve drawing, material and manufacturing queries.
- Support production teams with technical information while upholding quality, housekeeping and health‑and‑safety standards.
Required profile
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Strong organisational and record‑keeping capabilities.
- Effective communication skills across multiple departments.
- Competent IT proficiency.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in joinery is advantageous; transferable experience in woodworking, CNC machining, engineering or manufacturing is also welcome.
- Familiarity with timber and veneered board materials.
