Junior Commercial Counsel

About the role

Burberry’s legal team is seeking a junior commercial counsel to support its fast‑moving, creative business. The role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of commercial agreements and to advise internal stakeholders across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, draft and advise on commercial agreements covering digital/e‑commerce, software, SaaS, marketing, distribution, franchise, licensing, warehousing, logistics and vendor/non‑stock contracts.
• Assist with general commercial matters such as procurement, supply‑chain issues and data‑protection compliance.
• Support compliance projects by providing legal advice and liaising with business units to ensure good governance.
• Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and deliver pragmatic, commercially‑focused advice.
• Proactively manage legal risk and provide guidance to reduce exposure.

Required profile

• Qualified in English law with 1‑4 years post‑qualification experience, preferably specialised in commercial law.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and manage complex matters.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise competing demands and handle a heavy workload.
• Willingness to develop new skills, adapt to changing priorities and build collaborative relationships.
