Kitchen Porter – Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Porter to join our team at Metropolitan West. No prior experience is required – we will provide full training to help you develop the necessary skills in a vibrant restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors and equipment.
• Maintain and sign off cleaning schedules.
• Keep food storage areas tidy and hygienic.
• Wash dishes, cutlery and kitchen utensils.
• Remove waste from containers and dispose of it correctly.
• Clean cooking equipment such as grills and cookers.
• Assist the chef with basic food preparation, e.g., peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables.

Required profile

• Strong eye for detail and commitment to high standards.
• Organised with excellent time‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and follow training.
