Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – EYFS with Personal Care

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Bootle from September 2026. The role is full‑time and focuses on supporting EYFS pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including personal care. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor support, help children access learning, build confidence and meet individual targets.

Required profile

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs or moderate learning difficulties.
• Confidence in supporting children who may display challenging behaviours.
• Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively with teachers, SENCO, parents and other professionals.
• Willingness to hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
