Lecturer in Computer Science

About the role

The University of Huddersfield London Campus, operated in partnership with Study Group, is seeking a full‑time Lecturer in Computer Science. You will join a vibrant academic community delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to a diverse, international student body.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver teaching material across a range of computer science modules, using appropriate learning and assessment methods.
• Mark assessments, provide formative and summative feedback, and support student progress.
• Develop learning outcomes, contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement.
• Supervise student projects, field trips and placements, and act as a personal tutor.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic performance.
• Engage in research activities, publish scholarly work and contribute to the campus’s research profile.
• Participate in quality assurance processes, recruitment events and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education qualification (e.g., PhD or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching at higher education level.
• Ability to develop and deliver high‑quality, student‑centred learning.
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and contributing to an inclusive environment.
• Willingness to engage in research and scholarly activities.
