Legal Cashier – Full‑time role in Guildford

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join our accounts department in Guildford. The role supports lawyers across multiple disciplines and will handle high‑volume conveyancing transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle payment requisitions – approve, print, send for approval and record them.
• Manage card payment reports and postings.
• Process bill requests, search disbursements and raise bills accordingly.
• Process non‑search disbursements.
• Enter CHAPS/faster payments and upload them to the bank.
• Address queries related to accounts and transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Legal Cashier.
• Strong knowledge of online banking, SRA accounts rules and AML regulations.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent telephone manner and customer‑service skills.
• Attention to detail, good numeracy and computer literacy.
