Legal Counsel

About the role

Fuse Energy is a fast‑growing renewable‑energy startup building an integrated energy company and a decentralised Energy Network. The Legal Counsel will join the London team to support commercial, corporate and regulatory workstreams as the business expands across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate a high volume of NDAs, MSAs, product order forms and supplier/customer/technology agreements, flagging risks early and proposing business‑friendly solutions.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear guidance for new product lines, conduct regulatory research and ensure product designs are launch‑ready and compliant.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to Operations, Finance, Trading and Product teams, turning complex issues into simple decisions.
• Support UK and cross‑border compliance, coordinate filings and regulatory submissions, and maintain policies, registers and training to keep the business inspection‑ready.
• Create and refine templates, clause libraries, playbooks and best practices, streamlining workflows and automating routine tasks.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common‑law jurisdiction).
• 4‑7 years post‑qualification experience, ideally with a mix of law‑firm and in‑house exposure.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while balancing multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Enthusiasm for renewable energy and decentralisation.
