Level 3 Teaching Assistant – SEN Primary School (Manchester)

About the role

Reeson Education is looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing SEN primary school in Manchester. You will support pupils aged 3‑8 with complex learning, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them achieve personal and academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily support to pupils with social, emotional and communication needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Lead small‑group and one‑to‑one intervention sessions targeting learning and behaviour.
• Step in to lead the class when required, following lesson plans and maintaining routines.
• Implement behaviour‑support strategies with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and wider support team to track progress and adapt strategies.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
• Experience supporting pupils with trauma, ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
• Confidence in leading small groups and stepping up to lead classes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude, resilience and passion for inclusive education.
