Lift Service Engineer – Night Shift

About the role

Join our team as a Lift Service Engineer (Nights) based in London, working a four‑on, three‑off shift (Monday‑Thursday) for a prestigious transport client. The role involves planned preventative maintenance, minor repairs and component replacements to improve equipment condition and reduce downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repairs and component replacement in line with approved procedures.
• Perform checks on speed, motor start/stop, noise, temperature and power supply using company‑issued tooling and protective equipment.
• Conduct routine inspection and adjustment of installations, reinstating lifts and completing service documentation.
• Execute fault finding and diagnostic procedures using technical manuals and test equipment to restore equipment to service.

Required profile

• Experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repairs (preferred).
• NVQ Level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical knowledge, capable of working with multi‑brand lift equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and with a flexible approach.
