Linux System Administrator – up to £65,000

About the role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to join a skilled team of Linux specialists in Gloucester. The role involves designing, building and operating the platforms that power the business worldwide, in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Linux server infrastructure.
• Manage email services and ensure reliable protocol operation.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash or Python.
• Implement configuration management and orchestration solutions.
• Support and optimise SQL database instances.

Required profile

• Strong Linux server administration experience.
• Solid understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP).
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Knowledge of SQL databases.
