Maintenance Engineer – Late Shift

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our Maidstone site on the late shift (5 pm – 2 am). You will be responsible for keeping all plant and equipment running at optimal performance while ensuring strict health and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all machinery and equipment to achieve high performance levels.
• Design, implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Carry out regular checks, complete associated paperwork and store records correctly.
• Maintain workshop standards and ensure proper storage of chemicals and liquids.
• Uphold product safety, quality, legality and brand integrity in line with site policies.
• Promote high standards of health, safety, hygiene, site security and environmental practices.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably within the soft‑fruit or related manufacturing sector.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work autonomously on a fast‑paced shift.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
