Material Control Crew Member

About the role

Join Singer Vehicle Design as a Material Control Crew Member, supporting the production of high‑end automobiles. You will manage stock levels, schedule material supply, and work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components for the build plan.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and control the supply of materials and components to meet build plan requirements.
• Monitor stock levels against planning assumptions and agreed targets.
• Implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to workshop.
• Interpret the master schedule to create material demand and plan supply.
• Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the build schedule.
• Take corrective actions on material shortages affecting production.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process standardisation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate material flow.
• Issue forecasts to suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Participate in supplier meetings and negotiations to secure timely deliveries.

Required profile

• Good understanding of supply chain management or specialist knowledge in a related area.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and automotive processes is advantageous.
• Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems or similar tools.
• Previous experience in materials planning and ensuring smooth material supply aligned with production needs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
