Model Maker (F1 Racing Team)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Model Maker to assemble and prepare parts for our aerodynamic program, helping to make the car faster. The role involves close collaboration with the model shop, aerodynamic, mechanical and additive manufacturing teams, and may require work at our wind‑tunnel facility in Bedford.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and build wind‑tunnel models and related testing programmes.
• Investigate new technologies and procedures for part production.
• Coordinate with external groups to ensure timely testing of components.
• Execute day‑to‑day tasks with a strong eye for detail and manage delivery timelines.
• Maintain professional conduct, promote a positive team image and foster good relationships.

Required profile

• Previous automotive experience, preferably within Formula 1 engineering.
• Strong understanding of high‑quality part manufacture and model assembly techniques.
• Flexibility to work weekends, shifts and adapt to project‑driven schedules.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Milton Keynes and at the Bedford wind‑tunnel when required.
