Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer

About the role

EMCOR UK is seeking a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to provide mechanical, HVAC and building services support across the North region, covering sites from Manchester to York. This flexible role involves both planned maintenance and reactive breakdown work, ensuring client facilities run efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver general mechanical, HVAC and building services maintenance on all client buildings and plant.
• Execute corrective and preventative works in line with maintenance instructions and industry standards.
• Perform testing, inspection and condition‑based monitoring of mechanical systems.
• Complete accurate documentation such as test sheets, inspection rounds and work dockets.
• Respond to reactive breakdown calls, carry out remedial work and provide feedback to the helpdesk and client.
• Act as the Competent Person for mechanical systems, authorised by the Authorised Person Controller.
• Carry out minor new installations, testing and electrical plant defect surveys as required.

Required profile

• Relevant C&G or BTEC qualifications in mechanical or building services engineering.
• Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC, mechanical plant and building services.
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health, safety and compliance.
