About the role
Great Places Housing Association is seeking a Multi Skilled Joiner to deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance across Manchester, Trafford and Tameside. You will work on a variety of domestic properties, ensuring first‑time fixes and a professional finish for our tenants.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of joinery, including repairing UPVC windows, UPVC/composite doors, replacing double‑glazed units and overhauling kitchens.
- Deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance, achieving first‑time fixes through accurate diagnosis and multi‑trade working.
- Attend and complete required training, toolbox talks and e‑learning modules.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and local stakeholders.
- Work safely and leave customers’ homes clean and secure.
- Use PDA/mobile technology to receive, update and manage repair jobs efficiently.
- Produce accurate records, including before‑and‑after photographs and detailed job notes.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 2 in Joinery or equivalent experience.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Experience working in domestic properties, preferably within housing.
- Ability to carry out basic plumbing, tiling and patch plastering.
- Customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to high‑quality work.
- Reliable, professional and committed to safe working practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
