NEC Supervisor – Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to support the delivery of large‑scale construction and manufacturing programmes in Derby. The role involves independent on‑site scrutiny of works, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake NEC Supervisor services as defined in the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), reporting to the relevant Project Lead.
• Maintain a regular on‑site presence to independently scrutinise works, verify material compliance and standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential issues, manage any defects that arise and witness testing activities.
• Attend progress meetings, issue contract‑required communications and keep contemporary records of observations.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and technical advisors, highlighting issues and supporting project delivery.

Required profile

• NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager accreditation.
• Relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in large‑scale construction or manufacturing programmes.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and standards.
• Commitment to service excellence and quality delivery.

Required skills

• NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) knowledge.
• Familiarity with NEC4 ECC (beneficial).
• Use of digital systems for project information access and defect recording.
