Night Nurse (RGN) – Registered Nurse

About the role

As a Night Nurse (RGN) at a Barchester care home you will provide safe, compassionate care to residents throughout the night shift. You will address their physical, psychological and social needs while using professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care to residents during night hours.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals with diverse physical and mental health needs.
• Develop and implement tailored care plans and conduct detailed risk assessments.
• Administer medication safely and in accordance with best practice.
• Make critical clinical decisions and document care accurately.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory frameworks (DoLs/MCA, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines).
• Proven experience producing comprehensive care plans and risk assessments.
• Dedicated, compassionate and person‑centred approach to nursing.
