Night Shift Escalator Engineer – Greater London

About the role

Stannah is seeking a Night Shift Escalator Engineer to join its Service Branch covering Greater London and the M25 corridor. You will be responsible for call‑outs, repairs and preventive maintenance on a wide range of escalators and moving walkways from major manufacturers, working 12‑hour night shifts on a 4‑on‑4‑off pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency call‑outs and scheduled maintenance visits across busy London stations.
• Carry out repairs, component replacements and routine servicing on escalators and moving walkways.
• Perform risk assessments and complete site log cards for every visit.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Participate in the on‑call rota to provide coverage during holidays.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an engineer working with escalators or similar vertical transport equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and commitment to delivering high‑quality service.
• Ability to work independently on site and build relationships with client staff.
