Night Team Leader – Care Home

About the role

We are seeking a warm and enthusiastic Night Team Leader to join St Marys Riverside in Hessle. You will help create a supportive, vibrant environment for residents during evening and weekend shifts, ensuring high‑quality care and a sense of connection.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities, maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Supervise and train junior staff, providing guidance under senior staff oversight.
• Monitor residents with limited mobility, confusion, or behavioural challenges, using appropriate aids.
• Assist with continence promotion, end‑of‑life care, and last offices.
• Complete care plans, daily records, and liaise with GPs and support managers.
• Answer the nurse call system, respond to doors and phones, and pass on messages promptly.
• Encourage participation in social activities and hobbies.

Required profile

• Warm, approachable, and positive attitude.
• Organised, reliable, and confident in leading a team.
• Creative, enthusiastic and able to motivate others.
• Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
• Flexible to work evenings and alternate weekends.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (or already qualified).
