Operations Administrator

About the role

You will join a growing international technology business in Stockport, supporting the Operations team as the company expands. The role focuses on order fulfilment, logistics and supply‑chain activities, ensuring that freight movements and system data remain accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inbound and outbound freight movements, flagging delays, revised delivery times or customs issues.
• Create and maintain sales and purchase orders, updating supplier ETAs, stock receipt dates and customer dispatch dates.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers and freight forwarders for status updates and arrange courier and freight collections.
• Prepare shipping documentation and maintain import/export files.
• Support the warehouse with collections, priorities and expected stock movements.
• Escalate delays, customs issues and non‑standard shipments when required.

Required profile

• Organised and dependable, able to manage multiple orders or shipments simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication and a proactive approach.
• Previous experience in administration, order processing, customer service, logistics or supply‑chain is beneficial.

What we offer

• Salary £25,500 – £27,500 per year, dependent on experience.
• Permanent, full‑time position (37.5 hours per week).
