Operations & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Econergy is seeking an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer to oversee daily operations and maintenance of its utility‑scale renewable energy plants. The role ensures safe, efficient performance, maximises energy production and supports continuous improvement across assets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily O&M activities, monitor plant performance and resolve operational issues while complying with HSE and environmental standards.
• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans to enhance equipment reliability.
• Analyse operational data, identify performance gaps and implement optimisation actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
• Manage the O&M budget, forecast costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare regular operational, performance and budget reports for management and stakeholders.
• Capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement in O&M and asset management.
• Support health, safety and environmental policies through audits, training and compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (master’s preferred).
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Self‑disciplined, result‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional working proficiency in English (Italian a plus).

Required skills

• Knowledge of solar PV systems, including inverters, trackers and monitoring systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
