Oracle Database Administrator

About the role

Ayvens is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join its Digital & IT Division in the UK. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of Oracle databases that support the company’s sustainable mobility initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Install, create, and maintain Oracle databases following industry best practices.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure service levels are met.
• Plan capacity, execute upgrades, migrations, and apply patches to databases and servers.
• Manage user access, security settings, and compliance with IT policies.
• Support internal and external audits to verify robustness of database environments.
• Provide on‑call support and collaborate with business units to deliver tailored database solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Oracle database administration across multiple operating systems.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to organisational standards and SLAs.
• Commitment to confidentiality and alignment with company core values.
