Paraplanner – Hybrid (Up to 3 days remote)

About the role

We are a leading UK wealth management and financial planning firm seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our Financial Planning team in London. The role offers a hybrid working model (up to three days remote) and involves supporting advisers to deliver high‑quality advice to private clients, charities and institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality suitability reports and financial planning recommendations.
• Conduct technical research to support client reviews and new business advice.
• Attend client meetings alongside Financial Planners and prepare detailed meeting notes.
• Brief advisers on key client issues ahead of meetings and liaise directly with clients to gather information.
• Collaborate with advisers, administrators and wider stakeholders to deliver excellent client outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, templates and best practice.
• Manage own workload effectively while maintaining exceptional standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry, tax and legislative developments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) or working towards completion.
• Previous experience in a Paraplanning role within a client‑facing wealth management environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and financial planning.
• Good understanding of UK taxation, including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.
• Excellent report writing, research and communication skills.
• Chartered status or progress towards Chartered qualification is advantageous.
