Paraplanner – Hybrid, up to £45,000

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Paraplanner to join our client‑focused financial planning team in Glasgow. The role is hybrid, offering a mix of office and remote work, and is ideal for a Diploma‑qualified professional who enjoys producing technical reports and supporting advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality technical research and analysis across pensions, investments, protection, tax planning, inheritance tax and retirement strategies.
• Prepare suitability reports, cash‑flow models and risk assessments for financial advisers.
• Assist in creating and reviewing comprehensive financial plans.
• Liaise with advisers to understand client objectives and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure all reports comply with regulatory standards and keep up to date with legislative changes.
• Maintain accurate client records using CRM and back‑office systems such as Intelligent Office or Xplan.
• Support advisers during client meetings when required.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience in a paraplanning role within an IFA, wealth management or financial planning firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax wrappers and protection products.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
