Personal Tax Assistant Manager – International Team

About the role

Our client is seeking a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join their International Private Client tax team in London. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality personal tax compliance and providing tax advice throughout the year for a diverse, complex client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full tax compliance cycle for a portfolio of high‑net‑worth and internationally mobile clients.
• Prepare complex personal tax returns, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
• Draft written correspondence for clients and liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on their behalf.
• Engage directly with clients, family‑office representatives and other stakeholders, attending meetings as required.
• Collaborate with managers, senior managers, directors and partners to deliver tax advice and planning.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress, budgets, billing and debt collection.

Required profile

• ATT and/or CTA qualified.
• Proven experience managing a personal tax portfolio and supervising junior staff.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities to meet strict deadlines.
• Experience advising on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
• Knowledge of international tax issues such as FIG regime, remittance basis, statutory residence test, tax treaties, cross‑border investments and offshore trusts.
• Confident communicator with clients, partners and colleagues.

• Salary £58,000‑£64,000 (DOE) plus benefits.
• Hybrid working model – 2 days in the City of London office, 3 days remote.
