Personal Tax Manager – Chartered Accountancy Firm

About the role

Our client, a respected independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Henley‑on‑Thames, is seeking a Personal Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to develop specialist tax expertise within a supportive, growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring accurate and timely compliance.
• Prepare personal tax returns and draft P11D forms.
• Provide ad‑hoc tax advice and represent clients in dealings with HM Revenue & Customs.
• Participate in consultancy projects, including share restructuring, EIS/SEIS, and EMI schemes.
• Collaborate with tax partners on project‑based tasks and international tax issues.

Required profile

• ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in personal tax within a chartered‑accountants firm.
• Proven ability to manage a personal tax client portfolio.
• Strong understanding of personal tax principles and basic international tax concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
