Plastic Pipework Technician – PVC Operative

About the role

Envirogen is looking for a reliable Plastic Pipework Technician to join its manufacturing team at the Somercotes site. You will play a key part in producing high‑quality water‑treatment systems by fabricating, assembling and installing PVC components.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install PVC components and piping according to project specifications and engineering drawings.
• Cut, join and fit PVC materials using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect PVC components for defects, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area in line with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Assist with inventory management of PVC materials and report stock levels.
• Collaborate with production team members and project engineers to meet schedules and customer requirements.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of industrial and municipal water industry practices.
• Proven experience with mechanical assembly and PVC/ABS pipework installations on packaged skid equipment and plant rooms (½" to 12").
• Relevant health‑and‑safety qualifications for a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (a plus).
• Attention to detail, strong teamwork and communication skills.
