Police Constable Entry Programme – Experience Route

About the role

This entry route offers individuals the chance to become a Police Constable by building on knowledge and skills gained in work, personal or social settings. You will join patrol teams, responding to emergencies and supporting community safety.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to a variety of incidents, including road traffic collisions and antisocial behaviour.
• Support victims of crime with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create safer communities.
• Engage with people from diverse backgrounds, building trust and making a positive impact.

Required profile

• Level 2 (GCSE or functional skills) Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
• Demonstrated transferable skills such as problem solving, communication and teamwork.
• Compassionate, resilient and committed to serving the public.
