About the role
This entry route offers individuals the chance to become a Police Constable by building on knowledge and skills gained in work, personal or social settings. You will join patrol teams, responding to emergencies and supporting community safety.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to a variety of incidents, including road traffic collisions and antisocial behaviour.
- Support victims of crime with empathy and professionalism.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create safer communities.
- Engage with people from diverse backgrounds, building trust and making a positive impact.
Required profile
- Level 2 (GCSE or functional skills) Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
- Demonstrated transferable skills such as problem solving, communication and teamwork.
- Compassionate, resilient and committed to serving the public.

- Fully‑funded Level 5 Diploma in Professional Policing Practice.
- Paid training with a starting salary of £31,164, rising to £32,472 after completion.
