Practice Nurse – Part‑time (16‑20 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our friendly GP practice serving around 4,300 patients. This part‑time position (16‑20 hours per week) offers the chance to work closely with GPs and the wider healthcare team to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate records
• Administer vaccinations, medications and routine procedures such as wound care, cervical smears, blood pressure checks and sample collection
• Support chronic disease management and provide health education
• Collaborate with GPs and other team members to promote community health and wellbeing
• Help keep the practice safe, clean and welcoming

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience
• Strong clinical and communication abilities
• Team player who can also work independently
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Required skills

• Experience with EMIS (preferred)
