Premises Assistant – Part‑time (12‑4pm) – Greenwich

About the role

The school is looking for a reliable Premises Assistant to join the team on a part‑time basis, working 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday during term time and some holiday weeks. You will help keep the site safe, secure and well presented for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks around the school.
• Ensure the premises remain safe, secure and well presented.
• Support room setups and school events.
• Complete routine health and safety checks.
• Monitor site security and report any concerns promptly.
• Assist with deliveries and the movement of equipment.
• Work closely with school staff to maintain high standards across the site.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a premises, caretaker, facilities or maintenance role (desirable).
• Good practical DIY and maintenance skills.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Reliable, organised and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
