Prep Technician – Vehicle Pre‑Delivery Inspection

About the role

Join Vertu Peugeot Exeter as a Prep Technician and play a vital part in delivering flawless vehicles to customers. You will conduct thorough pre‑delivery inspections on new and used cars, ensuring every vehicle meets manufacturer standards before it leaves the showroom.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles.
• Complete work within agreed timeframes while maintaining high quality.
• Ensure all tasks comply with manufacturer specifications.
• Deliver right‑first‑time fixes and sustain strong productivity levels.

Required profile

• Level 3 automotive qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician or Prep Technician.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own set of tools.
• MOT licence (desirable, not essential).

Required skills

• Pre‑delivery inspection (PDI) procedures.
• Vehicle inspection and preparation.
• MOT testing knowledge (desirable).
