Prevention and Control of Infection Nurse (Band 6)

About the role

The NHS Golden Jubilee is seeking a motivated Band 6 Prevention and Control of Infection Nurse to join its proactive infection prevention team. You will play a key part in delivering the hospital’s infection control programme and supporting patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the Prevention and Control of Infection programme.
• Provide first‑level registered nursing care with a focus on infection prevention.
• Assist with the on‑call service for infection control emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (first level) with good interpersonal skills.
• Committed team player willing to learn and develop infection control expertise.
• Previous experience in infection prevention is desirable but not essential.
