About the role
We are seeking an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join a highly regarded special school in Hounslow for a 12‑month maternity cover. The role can be in either KS1 or KS2, teaching pupils with autism, severe/profound learning difficulties and related needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver an informal multi‑sensory curriculum to pupils with ASD, SLD and severe learning difficulties.
- Plan and assess lessons for KS1 or KS2, adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, parents and support staff to ensure high standards of pastoral care.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, or equivalent.
- Recent experience teaching SEN in a UK school, specifically with autism and specific learning difficulties.
- Ability to work flexibly in KS1 or KS2 and deliver multi‑sensory lessons.
