About the role

An ambitious, inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to lead a Year 1 class from September 2026. The role focuses on building on Early Years experiences and fostering confidence, resilience and core academic skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver imaginative, well‑sequenced lessons across the Year 1 curriculum.
• Build secure foundations in phonics, literacy and mathematics.
• Create an inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.
• Use assessment data to personalise learning and celebrate progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a broad, inspiring curriculum.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent UK primary teaching experience.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• High expectations for achievement and behaviour.
• Reflective, enthusiastic and committed to continuous professional development.
• Enjoys collaborative teamwork.
