Primary Teacher – Year 5 (Lambeth)

About the role

A welcoming primary school in the Herne Hill area is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher for a Year 5 class, starting September 2026. The role combines strong classroom practice with a nurturing approach, supporting pupils as they prepare for their final year of primary education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well‑sequenced lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
• Establish high expectations for behaviour, effort and presentation.
• Support pupils' academic and personal development.
• Use assessment data effectively to drive progress.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and support staff to meet individual pupil needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with successful UK teaching experience.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent, nurturing approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Confidence working within a one‑form entry setting and capable of independent work.
