Principal Geotechnical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a leading UK ground‑engineering consultancy. The role is based in our London office and will involve delivering technically challenging geotechnical solutions for large‑scale rail, stadium and high‑rise projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of geotechnical solutions for complex infrastructure projects.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and tier‑1 contractors to integrate geotechnical designs.
• Prepare detailed design reports, calculations and construction specifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering with substantial geotechnical design modules.
• Proven experience in senior or principal geotechnical roles, preferably on rail, stadium or high‑rise projects.
• Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work permanently in the UK.
