Principal Researcher – AI and Semiconductor Research

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Researcher to shape the strategic vision of our AI initiatives and drive transformative breakthroughs at the intersection of artificial intelligence and semiconductor design. You will lead multiple high‑impact projects, mentor senior staff, and represent the team in external collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the research strategy across the organization.
• Oversee several high‑impact AI projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Drive breakthroughs in machine learning, large language models, optimization, and reinforcement learning.
• Mentor senior researchers and guide research teams.
• Represent the team in partnerships, collaborations, and policy discussions.
• Build relationships with academic, industry, and funding partners.
• Publish and present findings at top‑tier conferences and journals.
• Identify emerging opportunities in AI and related fields.

Required profile

• PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent research experience.
• Distinguished publication record in top conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, etc.).
• Proven ability to shape research strategy and oversee multiple projects.
• Track record of driving breakthroughs and influencing research priorities.
• Advanced programming proficiency (Python, C++ or similar).
• Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
• Experience representing research teams in external partnerships and policy forums.
