Private Banker – Ultra High Net Worth (MENA)

About the role

Barclays is seeking an Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth Private Banker to join its growing Private Banking team in London. The role focuses on serving UHNW clients across the Middle East and North Africa, providing bespoke banking, lending and wealth‑structuring solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of UHNW clients, understanding their financial goals and risk appetite.
• Act as the primary point of contact, delivering exceptional service and tailored financial advice.
• Conduct regular reviews of investment and financial portfolios and provide expert guidance on banking products, credit, and complex queries.
• Identify, onboard and nurture new client relationships through networking, referrals and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and execute tailored strategies to attract and retain wealthy clients in the MENA region.
• Attend client events, wealth‑management forums and high‑profile gatherings in London.
• Advise on portfolio management, estate planning, succession and offshore structuring where relevant.
• Keep clients informed on market trends, economic updates and investment opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Private Banker with a client base holding a minimum of £20 m in investable assets within the Middle East market.
• Strong client‑servicing and relationship‑management skills with UHNW individuals.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and control risk within a client book.
• Deep understanding of global economic, political and competitive dynamics and their impact on clients.
• Experience or solid knowledge of investments, banking and trust concepts, including asset allocation, structured and managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, deposit and loan solutions, and basic trust and estate products.
