Private Client Tax Manager – Birmingham

About the role

Our client, an independent private practice firm in Birmingham, is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to lead and grow its personal tax offering for high‑net‑worth individuals. The role involves delivering bespoke tax advice across inheritance, capital gains, income and international tax matters while developing the team and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, overseeing meetings, tax computations and advisory deliverables.
• Provide technical tax solutions on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax and cross‑border tax issues.
• Lead, review and develop junior staff, conducting performance reviews and fostering technical capability.
• Drive operational efficiency through workflow optimisation, WIP monitoring and technology adoption.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities within existing and new client bases.
• Collaborate with other practice teams and contribute to firm‑wide initiatives.
