Program Manager - Nuclear

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a high‑profile, 15‑year nuclear contract for a European‑owned engineering group. The role will oversee the full lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring the program meets strict safety, regulatory and commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define programme processes, map the team structure and allocate resources at the concept stage.
• Lead cross‑functional engineering, procurement, quality and manufacturing activities.
• Manage commercial and operational delivery to ensure on‑time, on‑budget performance.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
• Drive compliance with safety‑critical standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering programmes in highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence or aerospace.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver safety‑critical public‑sector projects.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel to the client site in the North West of England.
