Project Manager – Assembly Integration & Test Placement (12 months)

About the role

Start date 19 July 2026, this 12‑month placement is based in Stevenage and forms part of Airbus Defence and Space’s Mechanical Platform team. You will work within the Project Management (AIT & Production) team on space‑related structures, panels and mechanisms that will be integrated into telecommunication spacecraft.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and update project schedules in line with Multi‑Functional Team expectations.
• Drive activities to ensure on‑time delivery of assemblies.
• Manage risks or issues that could affect major milestones.
• Control project costs and provide regular reporting.
• Report to and manage expectations of internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing, Production Engineering or Project Management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles.
• IT literacy with reporting and spreadsheet tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.
