Project Manager / Engineer – Manufacturing Projects

About the role

A Project Manager / Engineer is sought to lead the delivery of engineering projects from prototype through to full production. The role focuses on managing timelines, costs, and technical requirements while working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure successful outcomes in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of new product projects from prototype to mass production.
• Communicate progress, problems, solutions, timescales and finances with all stakeholders and customers.
• Control project timelines, budgets and technical delivery.
• Coordinate with production, sales and customer stakeholders.
• Develop manufacturing processes and production documentation.
• Ensure all procedures meet quality, safety and traceability standards.
• Identify risks early and resolve technical or delivery challenges.
• Support material procurement and cost‑control activities.
• Drive improvements in efficiency and manufacturing performance.

Required profile

• Experience in a Project Manager or similar role within manufacturing.
• Background supporting products from development into production.
• Understanding of both low‑ and high‑volume manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Proactive problem‑solving and issue‑resolution approach.
• Comfortable influencing widely without direct reports.
• Engineering degree, HND or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Practical, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong ability to influence across teams and customers.

What we offer
