Property Surveyor – Repairs & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Property Surveyor to join a leading real estate and property management organisation in Cumbria. The role focuses on delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance, compliance and voids services for housing stock.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑inspections of housing stock for repairs and voids.
• Diagnose defects, specify repairs, prioritize works and estimate costs.
• Carry out post‑inspections to ensure workmanship quality and customer satisfaction.
• Liaise with contractors and manage performance against KPIs.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and keep customers informed throughout the service.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong building surveying knowledge and technical understanding of property maintenance.
• Experience managing contractor performance and budgets.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites as required.
