Quality and Curriculum Manager – Apprenticeships

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality and Curriculum Manager to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of apprenticeship and commercial programmes. This senior position combines curriculum development, quality assurance and stakeholder management to ensure an outstanding learning experience for learners across the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously improve apprenticeship and commercial curricula, keeping them innovative and compliant.
- Oversee the organisation's quality assurance framework, including observations, moderation, standardisation and learner‑voice activities.
- Coordinate the Self‑Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to drive measurable improvements.
- Lead standardisation and CPD initiatives to promote high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Collaborate with Programme Leads, Quality teams and external stakeholders to ensure curriculum consistency and excellent learner outcomes.
- Analyse quality and performance data to identify trends and inform curriculum enhancements.
Required profile
- Qualified Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (e.g., D32/D33/A1/TAQA/CAVA, D34/V1/IQA).
- Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, CertEd, DET or equivalent.
- Proven experience leading quality assurance and curriculum development in an apprenticeship or further‑education setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, SARs, QIPs, Apprenticeship Standards and ESFA funding rules.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and support delivery teams to achieve continuous improvement.
Required skills
- In‑depth understanding of Ofsted EIF and related compliance frameworks.
- Experience with curriculum design for work‑based learning.
- Analytical and data‑interpretation skills to drive quality outcomes.
