Quality Control Team Leader

About the role

Rosemont Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Quality Control Team Leader to oversee the release of finished pharmaceutical products at its Leeds site. This people‑focused leadership position combines hands‑on laboratory work with supervisory responsibilities in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate QC team members to meet daily and long‑term quality objectives.
• Oversee laboratory testing, inspection and scheduling for finished products.
• Review and approve analytical data in line with GMP, GLP, MHRA, FDA and internal standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, company and health & safety requirements.
• Manage performance through objectives, appraisals, coaching and succession planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and 5S principles.
• Support New Product Development by delivering data on schedule.
• Investigate quality events and contribute to monthly KPI reporting.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in a scientific discipline.
• 4‑6 years of experience in Quality Control or a regulated laboratory environment.
• Significant HPLC experience and proven investigation skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising teams.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP and regulatory expectations (MHRA/FDA).
