Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturing business in Leeds, is looking for a qualified Maintenance Engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise. You will play a pivotal part in keeping plant infrastructure and production equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in maintaining and improving site security and overall housekeeping.
• Deliver engineering and electrical projects on schedule, ensuring compliance with health & safety policies.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programmes and respond swiftly to reactive breakdowns.
• Recommend machinery upgrades, assist with equipment replacement budgeting, and ensure external standards are met.
• Monitor asset performance, produce reports, and liaise with technical and product development teams.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained Electrician with strong industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability.
• Good IT and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of £38,438.40 per annum, plus overtime and on‑call allowance.
• Standard working hours: Mon‑Thu 08:00‑17:00, Fri 08:00‑16:00.
