Quality Manager – Apprenticeships & Further Education

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality assurance across apprenticeship and further‑education programmes for a well‑established electrical training provider. You will work on‑site in Birmingham, partnering with teaching staff and employers to ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee quality assurance for all apprenticeship programmes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted, awarding bodies and apprenticeship standards.
• Conduct lesson observations and provide coaching, CPD and support to tutors and assessors.
• Lead standardisation activities, quality reviews and continuous‑improvement planning.
• Maintain records and reporting to demonstrate compliance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with employers and internal teams to align training delivery with industry needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Quality Manager, Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) or similar role within apprenticeships or further education.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, apprenticeship standards and quality‑assurance processes.
• Relevant teaching, assessment and IQA qualifications.
• Ability to work autonomously and develop staff through coaching and feedback.
