Quantity Surveyor – Utilities (6-month contract)

About the role

Join a growing infrastructure and utilities organisation on a 6‑month contract as a Quantity Surveyor (or Senior Quantity Surveyor). The position is primarily site‑based in the Sandwell area of the West Midlands, with some flexibility for hybrid working when required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project accounts, including cost control, valuations and variations.
• Prepare and review NEC‑based contract documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support commercial delivery of ongoing projects.
• Work independently while providing occasional guidance to junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a QS or SQS within construction, civil engineering or utilities.
• Experience with NEC contracts (essential).
• Background in clean water or wastewater sectors is preferred.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and manage accounts independently.
